Kajabi
Best platform for selling your brand

Kajabi is a platform for delivering digital resources. If you’re an “expert” or “guru” at anything, this is the software to use to get your knowledge to your audience.
This sales funnel offers a large variety of features (technical and aesthetic) that make developing and selling resources a walk in the park.
Still confused? Kajabi is the option for you if you’re selling your name. Simple.
Here’s what Kajabi has to offer:
#1 — A whole lot of features
Sales funnels are only a tiny portion of what Kajabi has to offer while it’s a large portion of Clickfunnel’s platform.
Their features give you more than enough to build a website, a blog, and all types of service pages – perfect for customization and personal branding.
In addition to customizable features, Kajabi offers a suite of awesome themes you can browse from or just custom design/edit yourself.
#2 — Selling optimization
As I’ve mentioned a few times already, when it comes to Clickfunnels vs Kajabi, the latter wins in all aspects of selling a digital product.
In Kajabi, you have full authority over how your course and lessons are structured, their content, and how it’s processed.
What’s more? Digital events are an option that’s not seen everywhere on the web (hint hint).
#3 — Customer support
Believe me. If you want to scale, invest in something that offers awesome customer service.
Kajabi’s customer support team is on the line 24 hours a day. That’s something worth bragging about.
Just send in a quick chat, and they’ll get back to you right away. With Clickfunnels, it’s a bit of a different story.
#4 — Special feature — Drip content
It’s what it sounds like, sort of. Kajabi’s content management system allows you to schedule your blog posts so you don’t need to mess with imaginary deadlines.
This not only allows you to let things run on auto, but this “drip content” feature gives you the confidence to give your readers a more definitive content timeline.
Set publishing schedules tend to increase conversions since your audience will (optimally) be waiting for your next piece to go live.
With a loyal “fan base,” you’re one step closer to a term we like to use here at AppSurp: growth hacking.
Here’s a list of some more of their general website building features. You can see Kajabi’s full list here.

Kajabi pricing

Not everyone’s favorite topic, but let’s get into it.
Kajabi Basic
The first of the 3 options is the Kajabi Basic plan which gives users a total of 3 products and 3 pipelines.
Basic users are limited to 10,000 contacts and 1,000 active members, as well as just one website per user which should be enough, really.
Kajabi Basic costs $149 a month, or $119 a month if you decide to go all in on an annual plan.
In addition, you gain access to Kajabi University, webinars, as well as tons of templates and resources.
Kajabi Growth
comes next. As the most popular plan, increases the number of products and pipelines allowed by x5 compared to Kajabi Basic.
Users can gain up to 25,000 contacts as well as 10,000 active members.
Even though it’s still just one website allowed, it’s perfect for collaborating with other experts on an online resource since you’re allowed up to 10 administrators.
Kajabi Growth costs $199 a month, or $159 a month if you get an annual subscription.
Users will receive advanced automation, 24/7 chat support, and the ability to remove Kajabi’s name from their domains.
Kajabi Pro
The last and most expensive is Kajabi Pro which allows users up to 100 products and pipelines, 100,000 contacts, 20,000 active members, and 3 websites for 25 admin members.
To be honest, this plan really isn’t necessary unless you have a big team that wants to create an interactive site and course.
I’m keeping it to online courses since that’s really where Kajabi excels.
Last but not least: a plus for Kajabi users? All plans offer unlimited landing page builders and email sends.
Kajabi’s Cons
Jump to Clickfunnels’ cons
#1 — Expensive
It’s quite clear. Starting at $119 a month is far beyond what some wallets can handle.
But if you’ve got the budget and you want the best experience with the creation and distribution of your content, it’s well worth the cost.
The catch is, I definitely would not go with Kajabi Basic. With only 3 available products and pipelines, you’re not able to get very far.
At the very least (and possibly most), go for Kajabi Growth if you’re willing to invest in Kajabi’s online platform.
Very rarely will you need more than 15 product slots, 10 admin users, and 25,000 contacts. Heck, you can even throw in 10,000 active members for a little bonus.
#2 — Website quantity
For Kajabi’s Basic and Growth plans, you’re limited to 1 website. Clickfunnels, on the other hand, gives you space for 3.
See the clear difference? It really depends on what you’re trying to achieve.
#3 — Limit on members
For entrepreneurs just starting out or in their “growth” stage, Kajabi’s Basic plan may be more than enough for gathering your close-knit community.
But if you’ve already made a name for yourself, 10,000 members probably won’t cut it.

Clickfunnels
Best platform for selling digital & physical products
When comparing Clickfunnels vs Kajabi, it’s nice to be unbiased, but it just has to be noted that Clickfunnels is the more reputable name in marketing.
They have a name worthy of being paired with excellent conversion rates and easy-to-use templates and user interface.
Here’s what Clickfunnels has to offer:
#1 — Friendly for all
When comparing Clickfunnels vs Kajabi, it’s nice to note that the former is perfect for just about everyone.
It’s usable and customizable with a very easy-to-use interface and features.
Kajabi is lacking in this area simply because it’s optimized for selling your personal brand while Clickfunnels is for all-around marketing and selling.
#2 — Higher conversions?
Geez, just look at the name: Clickfunnels. Conversion rates are the primary objective.
While it has less features for building courses and digital products than Kajabi, Clickfunnels has just aabout all the software you need to market and convert.
In short, Clickfunnels makes things straight-forward.
#3 — Cost
It’s pretty evident. Clickfunnels costs less than Kajabi for their standard plan ($97/month vs. $119/month), and that’s factoring in Kajabi’s annual pricing structure.
It’s Platinum plan (2nd tier) has virtually unlimited features to offer – for $297 a month. That’s less than Kajabi Pro.
What’s more? You get virtually everything Kajabi offers minus the course creation funnel aspect since that’s not what Clickfunnels is designed for anyways.
Think of Clickfunnels like a landing page builder. It’s a tool that allows you to build custom pages meant to convert.
Clickfunnels pricing
Go back to Kajabi’s Pricing
We’ve mentioned this a bit in the features section, so we’ll discuss the top 2 tiers: Clickfunnels Platinum and the Two Comma Club.
If you’re a new startup or SaaS company, you really can’t go wrong with the standard plan, but if you’ve already gained some traction, Clickfunnels Platinum might just be the perfect fit.
The Two Comma Club though, I don’t see the need for that.
If you pay annually, you’ll get 2 months free. So assuming you purchase the standard option, it’ll be a year for $970. And $2970 for the Platinum plan.
But there’s no risk! You get a guaranteed 14-day trial as long as the account you’re using hasn’t purchased anything from Clickfunnels yet.
You can check out the full list of features for each pricing option here.
Clickfunnels’ cons
Go back to Kajabi’s cons
I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few areas that need work and a good ClickFunnels review wouldn’t be complete without looking at the ugly side as well.
#1 — Overpriced?
A small drawback is the price. At either $97 a month or $297 a month for starters and intermediates, it may be a little problem (which means Kajabi has an even bigger problem).
Overall, this is not a huge drawback, think of it as another investment for your business.
Plus with what Clickfunnels offers for you marketing efforts, it’s a pretty damn good deal.
#2 — Customer support
Not a lot of positive things about Clickfunnels’ customer service out there.
In my experience with using Clickfunnels, they’re pretty good with basic questions but if you have a real technical issue, they won’t be able to help you out with much.
#3 — Too much Russell Brunson?
While the software is nice and all, people tend to get carried away once they jump on the Clickfunnels train.
Russell Brunson, the mastermind behind Clickfunnels. He has his own marketing and conversion methods.
The thing is, new amateur users usually don’t know how to use all the features provided by Clickfunnels and thus, are bound to follow the path of the founder.
You’ll essentially be purchasing everything you can from Mr. Brunson, thinking it’ll help you grow to be successful – real fast.
Before you fall for the Clickfunnels cult, just focus on getting your software and implementing it onto your site and into your marketing strategies.
Nothing else. Don’t even join their Facebook group.
#4 — Templates & Originality
Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, there are a lot of very similar sites out there using the same templates and all.
Take this site, AppSurp, for instance. I started using an Elementor page builder template.
You guessed it, thousands of sites out there are probably using the exact same thing with a slightly different color scheme.
#5 — Uptime
Possibly the most prominent issue with Clickfunnels is that their can be some unexpected outages and glitches.
So your pages and templates may look funky or not work for a bit.
It can be difficult to tell when your pages are down (unless you check them real often), but it’s not too hard to fix if you’ve got backups saved.
In the case of a shut down, you can simply clone pages with the HTML publishing option Clickfunnels has.
Clickfunnels vs Kajabi executive decision
It’s really not too fair to compare Kajabi vs Clickfunnels since they’re optimized for different tasks.
But here’s what we’ve got.
Kajabi is the best platform and funnel builder for you if you’re willing to invest in getting your personal brand and products to a specific audience.
Clickfunnels is the best sales funnel builder if you’re going for the typical landing page and conversion optimized route for just about any product.
